"The Red Sea Astrarium" 3D Rides in Jordan
I started working on a huge international theme park project in June 2012, and as of last January, was promoted to production designer and assistant director on the two ride show projects. It's been a mentally exhausting 12 months, as the amount of research and design that goes into recreating 6 photo-real ancient civilization environments would tax any regular-sized art department, but our "department" turned out to be me, two illustrators, and for a few months, one researcher. Thankfully, most of the heavy design work (architecture, props and wardrobe) is nearly done for the first ride show, and
it's on to some mo-cap work and finishing up some design work for the second ride show. All in all, a rewarding experience, and working with lots of amazingly talented and brilliant people.
